Energised in March 2019 the Taunton scheme is the first of our planned 100 Megawatts of UK battery infrastructure.
Opium Power are developing, funding and operating large scale battery storage projects connected directly to the UK’s power distribution network. These batteries bring valuable flexibility to the grid, enabling it to harness increasing volumes of renewable generation, as well as supporting an energy system that is clean, affordable and secure.
